Our psychologist-led, four-week ADHD parenting program in Macquarie Park helps parents and carers understand ADHD and develop practical strategies for everyday family life.
For parents and carers of children in Kindergarten to Year 6 with a formal diagnosis of ADHD. Children do not attend.

Who is this group for?
This group is designed for parents and caregivers of primary-school-aged children who have received a formal diagnosis of ADHD from an appropriately qualified health professional.
Please note: This is a parent support and skills-based group and does not provide ADHD assessment or diagnosis. We are unable to assess whether your child meets diagnostic criteria for ADHD, provide an ADHD diagnosis, or offer individual diagnostic opinions within the group context. If your child has not yet received a formal ADHD diagnosis, we recommend discussing assessment options with an appropriately qualified health professional before registering.

The complete four-week program
$500
Per family · up to two parents or carers
- Four 90-minute sessions: six hours in total
- Up to two parents or carers from the same family
- A small, closed group of no more than eight families
- A family action plan to keep using after the program

The $500 fee covers the full four-week program for your family. No Medicare rebate applies to this program.
A brief suitability conversation takes place before your place is confirmed. Discuss payment and cancellation arrangements with the team before booking.
For parents and carers
Children do not attend and are not assessed as part of this program. It is a parent skills program, not individual therapy or an ADHD assessment. Children must have received a formal ADHD diagnosis prior to enrolment.

The program is intended for parents and carers of primary-school-aged children with an existing formal diagnosis of ADHD. The group focuses on parent skills; children do not attend or undergo assessment. ADHD assessment, diagnostic clarification and individual diagnostic advice are outside the scope of the program.

Who is this program for?
This program is for parents and carers of children in Kindergarten to Year 6 who have received a formal diagnosis of ADHD. It is designed for families who would like to better understand ADHD and develop practical strategies for routines, emotional regulation, organisation, connection and everyday family life.
Children do not attend the sessions.
Does my child need an ADHD diagnosis?
Yes. This program is designed for parents and carers of children who have received a formal diagnosis of ADHD. A brief suitability conversation takes place before enrolment to help determine whether the program is appropriate for your family. The suitability conversation is not an ADHD assessment. We are unable to assess whether your child meets diagnostic criteria for ADHD or provide individual diagnostic advice within the group context.
Can both parents or carers come?
Yes. The $500 program fee includes up to two parents or carers from the same family for the full four-week program.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions run for 1.5 hours, Thursdays from 10:30am to 12pm, over four weeks from 5 November 2026. That is six hours across the program.
Is a Medicare rebate available?
No Medicare rebate applies to this program. The fee is $500 per family for all four weeks.
Will children be assessed or attend the sessions?
No. This is a parent and carer program. Children do not attend and are not assessed as part of the program. The program does not provide ADHD assessment, diagnosis or individual diagnostic advice.
What happens in a session?
Sessions combine psychoeducation, discussion and practice, with opportunities to ask questions and apply strategies to your family. Personal disclosure is minimal.
Can we continue our existing care?
Yes. Existing individual therapy, paediatric or psychiatric care may continue alongside the program.
What if we cannot attend this intake?
Contact the team to register interest in a future intake. Discuss payment, attendance and cancellation arrangements before booking.
