What is ADHD parent training?
Parent training is a way for parents and carers to learn skills for supporting a child with ADHD. The focus is on everyday family life: understanding, connection, routines and responses to difficult moments.

Support for parenting, without blame
The Australian ADHD guideline describes parent/family training as support tailored to the additional needs associated with ADHD. Seeking that support does not mean someone has failed as a parent. What the evidence does and does not tell us
The guideline reports varying outcomes across studies and observers. Its review did not establish a recommended course length, and it did not identify studies evaluating brief parenting approaches. It should not be read as validation of this particular four-week course or as a guarantee of results.
Understanding the ADHD Brain

For parents and carers of children in Kindergarten to Year 6. - $500 per family, up to two parents or carers.
